The Denistone East Bowling and Recreation
Club is "home" to the Cactus
Club,one of Sydney's most popular and long running Line
Dance Social Clubs.Cactus Club's organisers,Glenda
Tuttlebee,Wendy O'Brien and Jean Tullia,have
been hosting the Socials for over ten years. The sound of Country
and other popular music, punctuated by stomping boots, can be heard
in the Club on the second Saturday of every month.Popular Line Dance
Instructors include Mark Simpkin,Tracie Lee, Ian and Lyn Booth and
Rosalie Mackay are regular DJ's at the socials. Dancers from all
over Sydney come to enjoy the newest dances and revisit the "Classics."The
socials begin at 7.30.pm.and wind up at midnight.Members and guests
are invited to to be there and join in if you are able or, have
a drink and watch some of the finest Line Dancers around Sydney

The
Northern Riders Line Dance group, Led by Jennifer
Hughes, also use the facilities at "Deno"
to prepare for the various Line dance competitions which they
enter each year.They have won many Gold, Silver and
Bronze medals at major competitions including
Tamworth.Their most recent successes include 4 gold,
2 silver and a bronze medal at the Forster - Tuncurry
competition.They have just recentlycompeted at
the Big One,Tamworth 2006 with many successes(see below)
Jennifer conducts Line Dance classes in the local area. If you
